Re-download EVERY book individually after replacing disk

So, I replaced my difficult drive. Very simple to do, backup and restore using SuperDuper. Kindle app starts, shows me my library (every volume Downloaded), but whatsoever volume I try to read in my library, Kindle says "Preparing your book", followed by "The volume could non be opened. Please remove the book from your device and redownload it." Autonomously from it being an utter waste matter of time to re-download every book (one by one), what if I had been somewhere with no cyberspace service? And, "remove the book from your device and redownload". What an utterly STUPID program. I have to click and click and click and click to get it to do that? Whoever programmed it is only smart enough to display the bulletin? If they know that they demand to "remove the book from the library and re-download it", why doesn't the programme just practise it? (That is what is called a rhetorical question. The answer is: the program is stupid.) No wonder this app has two stars in the app store1

Wish Information technology Had More Features and Capabilities

I've been using this app for years now, just it'southward been a while since I've used it for leasurely reading. The past two years has found me using information technology more than often for grad schoolhouse. If required books for my courses were available on Kindle and had corresponding page numbers, information technology was typically more cost effective, easier to organize notes, and allowed me to easily read and take notes anywhere. I do wish in that location were some more features, particularly when information technology comes to exporting highlights and notes. I wish that, just as nosotros tin filter our highlights and notes in the app, nosotros could practice the same when exporting highlights and notes. For case, if I only wanted to export the highlights and notes that I starred rather than every highlight and note, then I could do so by applying a filter. That mode I could export the notes I know I demand and found to be highly applicable and important to my piece of work at the time, while still keeping the entirety of my highlights and notes on the app in the event that I demand to consign all of them in the future. I also wish that yous could practice more formatting with any notes that you take. I commonly have to copy and paste my exported highlights and notes into OneNote and then reformat eveything. It would be dainty to at least put bullet points in the "notes" section.

Infuriating

I've used Kindle for years and I have e'er loved information technology. However, using information technology on MacOS is frustrating. Seven months ago I purchased a book on Javascript and attempted to work my manner through it. With no input from me whatever, the pages jumped forrad or backwards by ii-8 pages. I didn't click anything, I didn't hit whatsoever keys. Then I would take to go dorsum and find the page I was on. Clicking to detect the page would also result in it going much further than I intended it to. And then so I'd take to go dorsum the other way. Then sometimes that would get too far. And so I'd get it right and halfway through the page information technology would commencement doing it again. Unfortunately, I forgot about that experience and, existence busy with work, didn't have time for Kindle until recently. When I ordered another book, this fourth dimension on Python, it was the same wretched experience. I gave up on it a few times, then came back considering I already paid for the volume and was adamant to get through information technology. And so I'd requite up again. Information technology is infuriating to try to acquire something while your app can't stay on the intended page and 2/three of your learning time is getting annoyed and fighting the program just to keep the page. I hate to buy the books twice considering I obviously can but practise this with the hard re-create now (with the added inconvenience of not having the reference on the screen next to what I'm working on). I love Kindle and Audible and I hate to requite information technology a bad review but on Mac, this app is garbage.
